Moncader

Azienda Agricola Moncader is a family-run winery located in the Conegliano/ Valdobbiadene area of Veneto region, Italy, the prime growing area for Prosecco. Founded in 1989 by Giovanni Battistella, the winery began with the purchase of vineyards in San Pietro di Feletto, reflecting a belief in the potential of Prosecco. Moncader focuses on producing high-quality Prosecco DOC and DOCG wines, including sparkling and "frizzante" (semi-sparkling) styles. The winery emphasizes sustainable vineyard management practices, aiming to preserve the unique terroir of their hillside vineyards. Today, the winery is run by Giovanni's son, Carlo, a graduate in viticulture and oenology, carrying on the family tradition of producing exceptional Prosecco. They are committed to crafting wines that express the distinct characteristics of the Conegliano Valdobbiadene hills, now a UNESCO World Heritage site.
