Vaona

The Vaona family has been growing grapes in the Valpolicella area of the Veneto region of Italy for generations. In 2000, they shifted their focus from bulk wine production to crafting high-quality terroir-driven red wines. Their 10 hectares of vineyards are farmed organically, and all vineyard work is carried out by hand. In the winery, winemaker Alberto Vaona follows traditional methods and a minimal-intervention approach, using indigenous yeasts and low levels of sulfites. Vaona produces a range of Valpolicella wines, including Valpolicella Classico, Ripasso, and Amarone della Valpolicella.
